A tribute sketch I did to mourn with those who fell victim to the Aurora CO Shooting at the Batman: Dark Knight Rises Midnight Premiere.

From every tragedy we realize what we cherish most. Life and each other. I can relate to those comic geeks so much since I am an uber g33k myself... I have been to many midnight showings geeking it out with my friends and family. So I can feel the sadness of those that have lost their loved ones.

But we must learn to move on and if the world will just learn to appreciate one another more often and hate less... the world would be a better place.

... We will rise again.

R.I.P to those who died and a quick recovery to the injured. Such a shame and what a senseless tradjety attached to something many people love. Like the movie all we as people can do after this is rise. But nice job on the tribute btw

Truly tragic event. I offer my condolences to all these poor people. What I found more sading or ironic is that the shooting in a movie theater is basically similar to what happened to Bruce; the killing of his parents. It also made me remember what the movies had taught us; life is difficult, but we need to pick ourselves back up and rise. Clearly, the psycho didn't get that message. The killings reminded me that in the real world, we need brave men and women who will always be ready to step forward to protect us. So for its own defense, society needs to honor those who put more than money at risk in the course of their jobs. I hope that the bastard will rot in prison for this. (Personally, I would have given him the electric chair if it was still around now)

I love this picture. A beautiful tribute to a horrible tragedy. I've been working on my own tribute but I can't get it to turn out just right...
